SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, UberConference announced the integration of Google Drive, making it possible to share and edit live documents within the UberConference visual dashboard. Google Drive extends the advanced collaboration capabilities that UberConference offers with Box and Evernote as part of its award-winning conference calling service.
Using UberConference, anyone on a conference call can share multiple documents and easily switch between their independent views during the call, eliminating the hassle of email attachments. At the end of the meeting, links to the shared files are included in the UberConference Call Summary that is sent to all participants.
"Many of our UberConference users are among the more than 120 million active Google Drive users out there, and we wanted to make it very easy for them to collaborate using their Google Drive documents while on a conference call," says UberConference CEO and co-founder, Craig Walker. "We've polished the Google Drive experience by adding a live conversation to it, and if you're a Google user, this makes UberConference that much better."
While on an UberConference, Google Drive documents can be shared with everybody on the call so that each has the ability to view and edit the documents. Any participant on the call can share a Google document by clicking the "Share Files" button in the UberConference visual dashboard. Once they choose a file from any folder in Google Drive to share, it appears in the conferencing window and everybody can access it.
The Google Drive integration is another in a series of integrations to make UberConference work well with Google properties. Earlier UberConference launched a Chrome Web App, an Android App and a Chrome Extension, as well as integrating with Google+ for login, contacts and profile information.
UberConference fixes all the broken and outdated aspects of traditional conference calling, making it a more productive business tool, and transforming an industry that hasn't seen real innovation in decades. UberConference's elegant UI for web and mobile makes features easy-to-use with the click of a button. Built by the teams that brought Google Voice and Yahoo! Voice to tens of millions of users, UberConference launched in 2012 and is funded by Andreessen Horowitz and Google Ventures. Learn more.
