Open Access to Platform Allows Integration with Popular Health and Fitness Applications and Sets New Direction for Activity Tracking Industry
FREMONT, Calif., Sept. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Salutron, Inc., recognized leaders for the most innovative and scientifically accurate fitness and wellness products, today announced that they will provide access to an open, non-proprietary app development platform, providing consumers greater choice in connecting to services and storing data. Open application programming interface (API) documentation is being made available through the Salutron website beginning today and can be accessed at http://lifetrakusa.com/developers/. The open API platform supports applications for Android 4.3 or newer and iOS 5 or newer and all current and future LifeTrak activity trackers with Bluetooth® Smart Connectivity.
The latest LifeTrak activity monitors incorporate leading edge science, technology and design to capture, hold and wirelessly transmit health-related data to Bluetooth Smart-enabled devices, including smart phones and laptop computers.
