Meet Beautiful Britney.
She NEEDS someone who is willing to foster her to get out of the shelter. Can you help and foster this baby? If not, PLEASE, PLEASE NETWORK SAN DIEGO!!!
She needs a loving environment ASAP for her physical and emotional needs. Long story short, she was adopted from the shelter in August of 2012, and then returned in February 2013 because the owner lost their home. She is really a nice girl, she's been able to play in playgroups with other dogs, and is a volunteer favorite. Unfortunately, she has started exhibiting some neurological signs that we have not been able to diagnose here.
This can be a stagnant or progressive disease, congenital or degenerative; only time will tell. In the present, it is painful for her, so keeping her on meds and strict cage rest/confinement is very important. If it becomes worse, we would worry that it might affect her ability to urinate/defecate (incontinence might develop).
So basically we really don't know if she is going to improve or not so we are hopeful and feel she deserves better then to have her days end in a shelter.
