Hey gang! You all know my fondness and respect for Last Chance at Life in Oceanside. Below is a discription of what they do and why. Another of their supporters lost a dear boxer girl named Ali. She lived to be 14 years old (which is amazing for this breed of dog--speaks to the good care she had growing up.) Her 'people' are doing a run/walk to honor her and in hopes of getting you to donate food, blankets, toys whatever you can to the kennels at Last Chance at Life. It will be a fun day. There will be adoptable dogs there and you will help a family honor their beloved furry baby who has crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge.

Hello! My name is April Taylor and on Saturday night we had to say goodbye to our beautiful old girl Ali. She lived a glorious fourteen years and I would give anything to have her back.
I am exhausted from being so sad and decided that I want to honor Ali's memory by doing something big.
Several of my friends and I are going to do Ali's Run on Saturday April 27th at 8:00 AM. We will run the 3.43 mile route we ran together almost every day for pretty much 7+ years.
The address for the Memorial Walk is 1948 Kenora Drive Escondido, CA 92027.
Ali loved to run; she was the happiest when we were out on our runs together. When she couldn't run anymore we still walked a little over a mile almost every day. Even on her last day of life she tried to go for her walk but her little body had already started to shut down. She didn't even make it to the cul-de-sac before her dad had to pick her up and carry her back to the house. That was how we knew something wasn't right.
I would love it if family and friends would like to join me, Dayla and Zoey on Saturday April 27th at 8:00 AM for Ali's Run. We will run (or walk, whatever you are comfortable with) the 3.43 mile route Ali and I ran together for well over seven years.
In honor of Ali's memory it would be amazing if everyone would kindly bring blankets and towels your are no longer using. Maybe even bring a bag of dog food, dog toys or treats so we can donate them to Last Chance at Life All Breed Rescue and Adoptions in Oceanside California.
"Last Chance at Life All Breed Rescue and Adoptions (formerly Boxers N Birds) is a not for profit animal rescue that takes in animals from all over San Diego County. Of course children and pets are welcome. Let's all get some exercise and help support the hard work of Last Chance at Life All Breed Rescue and Adoptions!!!
