Urgent Foster Needed for Chata!

Hi everyone,

Meet Chata and Holly.

They need our help!

Chata was going to be put down yesterday and Passion for Pitties had to make a decision. They spent time with Chata at a Petco event this past Saturday and could not bare the thought of having Chata be put down in the shelter.

You all know that if Passion for Pitties does not have a long term foster for the dogs they pull, then they are unable to pull the dog in need, as sad as that is to accept. With this said, a new friend offered to open her home to Chata for a temporary foster basis in the hopes that a long term foster or an adopter will step up.

Here you can see Chata napping in her temporary foster home. She is very low maintance and just needs love. The temporary foster travels and is only able to care for Chata for 1-2 weeks, which is greatly appreciated because a lot can happen in 2 weeks so we will pray for the best.

The arrangement is as follows... the shelter could not grant an extension as hoped to network Chata. Chata was not kenneling well at all and according to her retest on her behavioral evaluation, they failed her :-( We all know that dogs respond completely different out of the scary shelter environment and Chata is one of those girls. With this said, the shelter has agreed to allow Passion for Pitties to pull Chata as a compassion pull, which they did this morning...

They are giving them ONE WEEK to find her a good circumstance. Chata either goes back to the shelter to be spayed, or the other... which we are not willing to do to this girl if it can at all be avoided.

So please if any of you are willing to foster or if you know someone who will foster Chata until we can find her the loving home she deserves it would be very appreciated. Networking saves lives and Chata needs her life saved...she's not safe yet.

Her daughter Holly also needs out of the shelter but she wasn't declining as quickly as her mother. Holly is 1 year young. They are able to be fostered together if anyone is willing and then we can also pull Holly. This is our wish. Please help if you can, even if it just means networking!

If you can save these beautiful pitties, please contact Elise from passionforpitties.com at savepitties@yahoo.com or 619-884-4008
