EventStir, the crowd-funding platform for events, launched out of private-beta. When it comes to funding events, consumers and now businesses can create event pages with a monetary or attendee based goal to engage prospective attendees in the event planning process to guarantee profitable, quality events. In essence, they can fund group events.
Washington, DC (PRWEB) December 06, 2012
EventStir, a Washington D.C based startup run by cofounders Sajad Ghanizada and Andrew Mason has been quickly gaining traction within the event technology industry. Since their meta-launch in March – where the founders used their product to fund their launch event –the platform has had over 200 events created ranging from private parties such as vacation rentals to larger public events like music festivals and fundraisers.
With the launch of enterprise access, EventStir will allow businesses to pay a low monthly fee to run their own crowd-funded events.
“EventStir presents a fantastic alternative to group buying services like Groupon where merchants are asked to part with 60% off retail prices,” says ArtJamz owner Michael Clements, “We’re going to teach cool, quirky and creative classes at ArtJamz Academy next year because of EventStir.”
EventStir wants to answer the question that many event hosts and venue owners ask themselves each day – will enough people attend my event?
“We realized that while selling tickets is great, the limiting factor in judging turnout was always a lack of input from the audience during the planning process,” says Ghanizada. By polling invitees first through a social web page, EventStir allows organizers to test out their event ideas, make appropriate changes, and then charge their attendees once they know the event is profitable.
“It’s a win for attendees since they show up to events they actually care about and a win for event organizers because they can test out larger than life event ideas at no risk,” continues Mason.

EventStir is the leading company in designing event technology to help organizers obtain attendees and cover costs before the day of the event. Simply create your event, set a goal (either minimum funding or attendees) and start promoting. Users join the event, but are not charged until the final goal is met.
