As California reports jobs gains for October, 100KCrossing.com shows an impressive increase in positions as well.

Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) November 17, 2012

The October jobs report was recently released and it shows a strong upward trend for California. In fact, 45,800 new workers were added to payrolls in the state and September job gains were revised to be even higher than initially thought from 8,500 to 32,000 employees. The job numbers are also positive for the jobs that pay $100,000 or more, as reflected by recent numbers released by 100KCrossing.com. The site reported a 2.96-percent increase in job postings between October and November.

In fact, the site saw 30,162 positions in October and 31,081 positions in November, a definite positive trend for this exclusive segment of the job market. The jobs report released by California’s Employment Development Department showed similar results with the jobless rate dropped down from 10.1-percent in September to 10.1-percent in October. While all of these changes are slight, they are significant and indicate the economy is recovering, especially after so many months of downward trends and poor California jobs numbers.

“People tend to ignore the 100K market when looking at jobs numbers,” says 100KCrossing.com’s CEO, A. Harrison Barnes, “But this is a mistake because it has been affected by the economy just like every other sector.” On the site right now, there are over 3,400 jobs listed for the state of California, which is the most listed for any state at this point. “California is a huge state and it’s always a robust market on our sites,” says Barnes, “but it’s especially positive lately for the 100k sector at this point.”

Job sites like 100KCrossing.com are actually a really good indicator of how the economy is doing overall because it offers an up-to-date look at job numbers. “What better way to see how 100K jobs are doing than by viewing the number of positions currently available?” asks Barnes, then adds, “It just makes sense.”

While many of the jobs reports are focused on the economy for middle class positions, it is informative to see how job sites provide a new perspective.
