Garbage and South Garbage

Let's face it---San Diego is a great place to have dogs.  There are so many official dog parks to take your pups and let them run around.  Dogs who get regular exercise are better 'dog citizens' than a dog who is inactive all day.  You will notice less destruction around your house and yard is your dog is content and worked out...just like people!

One of my favorite place to take Spike and Lucy is in Ocean Beach.  The  locals call it Garbage and South Garbage.  You can find it by driving through Ocean Beach on Sunset Cliffs all the way to the end.  You will be hugging the ocean after you pass the shops and gas stations.  The view is fabulous.  By the time we are getting close, Lucy has figured out that we are going to one of her favorite places.

If you are familiar with the Nazarene College in OB, you know where Garbage and South Garbage are.  In fact, There is an abandoned baseball field you can run your dogs on after you walk a nice little path to find it.  It is amazing in it the view of the Pacific.  Spike loves it too!

If you are having the need for an ocean fix and your dogs want to check out lots of new smells, I encourage you to find Garbage or South Garbage.
