I could not resist posting an older photograph of my babies, Lucy and Spike, and our dear, departed BFF, Maggie. Maggie lived across the street and would stare out her front window until her 'people' would bring her over to see Lucy or Lucy would go to Maggie. Lucy and Maggie were the same age (6 at the time) but I started noticing that Maggie could not keep up with us at Fiesta Island. Her 'people' took her to the vet, who had the sad duty of informing them that Maggie had a heart condition. Her 'people' did everything they could to help her health. There were pills and a special diet and for a while, Maggie was better.
Sadly, she passed away last fall. But she got to spend her final days with her people, including a little girl who loved her dearly, and Lucy and Spike who felt the same.
Maggie was a great dog and we miss her everyday. RIP Maggie!
