JACK FM would like to offer its most sincere congratulations to Adam Sandler for receiving what most actors only have nightmares about. Sandler's half-assed, cross-dressing comedy about a pair of boy and girl twins (both of whom are played by Sandler) swept the Razzie's award show last weekend.
For those of you unfamiliar with the award show, it celebrates the worst that Hollywood had to offer us over the past year. It's a kind of backhanded Oscars, where actors, directors, and screenwriters are cheekily recognized for their failed attempts at their trade. Sandler, whose movie "Jack and Jill" won awards in almost all ten categories, dominated this year's show. Those categories, in which the movie did not win, were won by Sandler's previous flop, "Just Go With It".
So hats off to you Mr. Sandler for successfully failing at your attempt to make a decent comedy. We here at JACK will remember you fondly for Happy Gilmore, The Hanukkah Song and Billy Madison. Next time someone pitches you the idea of playing both the male and female leads, please just do us all a favor, slap them in the face and walk away.
