The Help needed no assistance at last night's 18th annual Screen Actor's Guild Awards to come out on top. The film adaption of Kathyrn Stockett‘s novel of the same name landed the SAG Awards 2012 winners prize of Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, as well as honors for film stars Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer. I was so happy to see them win, since I enjoyed the book and the movie. In fact, the movie is one of the best adaptations for the screen - ever!

I also loved what The Help stars were wearing! They each looked gorgeous in pretty dresses that fit beautifully! I really liked the choice of colors as well.

The Best Actor in a Movie went to Jean Dujardin in"The Artist."

The Best Supporting Actor went to Christopher Plummer for "Beginners."

In the field of TV, Best Actor in a movie or miniseries went to Paul Giamatti for "Too Big to Fail." He was not there to accept his award.

The Best Actress in a movie or miniseries went to Kate Winslet for "Mildred Pierce." She didn't show up either.

The Best Actor in a drama series was the delightful Steve Buscemi, for the excellent "Boardwalk Empire."

Best Actress in a drama series: Jessica Lange, "American Horror Story." I totally missed out on this series, but have it on my list of things to watch.

Best Actor in a comedy series: Alec Baldwin, "30 Rock."

Best Actress in a comedy series: Betty White, "Hot in Cleveland."

Best Drama series cast: "Boardwalk Empire"

Best Comedy series cast: "Modern Family."

Best Stunt ensemble: "Game of Thrones."

The Life Achievement was presented to Mary Tyler Moore by the great Dick Van Dyke.

There were a lot of hot couples on the red carpet including: Brad and Angelina, George Clooney and Stacy Keibler, Diane Lane and Josh Brolin, Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon and John Krasinski and Emily Blunt.

Plenty of best dressed candidates last night!

There were also plenty of dresses which didn't work out very well. These are my picks for Worst Dressed.
