The Expendables- Dinner & a Show

Posted: Updated:

The Belly Up is great. The Wild Note Café is great. The Expendables are great. That basically sums up the Dinner & a Show that happened on Nov. 11th. People: This band was amazing. The Expendables can perform. They seamlessly blend reggae, rock, surf, and metal styles… it was beautiful. But let's talk food. We met with the lucky winners of the Dinner & a Show contest outside of the Wild Note Café, but we didn't waste much time out front. Once inside, the friendly owner and staff made us feel welcome… as usual. I ordered the Baja Fish Tacos; they come with four tortillas, beans, rice, and grilled mahi-mahi. The service was quick and friendly, and the items were affordable and filling. After dinner, it was off to the show. And as I mentioned, The Expendables were a tight, creative band. They played some old stuff ("Bowl For Two", "Sacrifice") but also more recent songs off their 2010 record, "Prove It", as well as some covers…yea, they did "Ganja Smuggling". Stay tuned for their acoustic album, coming to record stores, as well as online in the near future. The sound was perfect, as it always is at Belly Up. Basically, we had a great time. Check out the pictures and video as well. Rock N Roll…
