SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The September 11th attacks certainly taught a father and daughter in Carlsbad to treasure each day of theirs lives as a gift.

Because of a sudden illness, the father and daughter were scheduled to fly on American Airlines flight 11, the first plane to hit the twin towers.
