Yes, yes, folks. These bands have continued to bring audiences to their feet over and over by blending genres of reggae, punk, and ska; becoming pioneers of "Dirty Reggae" and "Ska-Punk".

The Aggrolites, from LA, will be the first to tell you that they aren't just any reggae band… don't think Bob Marley. You can still bring your special brownies…but whoa man, maybe you'll feel like dancing… maybe even hugging someone… maybe even hitting someone. I don't know you. The energy they bring to the stage is unique and refreshing; unlike anything you've ever seen from a reggae band. Lets just say its got soul. Once you hear the first few seconds of these songs its clear that the Aggrolites have done something very different with the genre, in an entirely good way. Originally the backing band for the legendary Jamaican singer Derrick Morgan, The Aggrolites have created their own unique sound that has pleased audiences time and time again. Their records are great (check out their newest, entitled: "Rugged Road"), but hey, see them live.

You know Buck-O-Nine. If you don't, you should. These dudes have a bunch of awesome songs; and had a huge hit with the song "My Town" off the nationwide success record "Twenty-Eight Teeth". And they're from San Diego. Formed in 1991 with a mutual interest in ska, although all coming from different musical backgrounds, the members of  Buck-O-Nine have spent plenty of time perfecting their blend of ska-punk-reggae music for your listening enjoyment. Check out the Buck-O-Nine ORIGINAL "Drink and Fight" (although sometimes FALSELY credited to other bands), as well as their most recent album "Sustain". They have toured & shared the stage with the likes of: The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Sprung Monkey, The Voodoo Glow Skulls, The Specials, and many more. Now, they bring their upbeat and energetic set to Solana Beach, and trust me, it's pretty tough to resist busting a move or two and a grin while being at one of their shows. I've tried it ALRIGHT!!?!??
