
SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The San Diego Fireman's Relief Association is honoring the firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2011 with the San Diego 9-11 Memorial Stairclimb Saturday.
The event will take place at the San Diego Bayfront Hilton for the 10th Anniversary commemoration of 9-11.
Firefighters and civilians will climb 110 floors, the same number as in the twin towers. Each person will climb in the name of a Firefighter whose life was lost on that day.
There will also be a presentation of 9-11 steel recovered from Ground Zero.
Funds raised from the event will benefit The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
