Well, it was only a matter of time before "Jersey Shore" got some serious competition. Who better to show them up than the Persians and Ryan Seacrest?

As an Iranian-American and the first in my family to be born here in the U.S. I've been surrounded by Persians (the cuter way some Iranians choose to refer to themselves) and the Persian culture my whole life. Knowing how entertaining the rich, L.A. living, Chanel suit wearing, Fendi handbag carrying, way too much gold hanging off their bodies Iranians are, I can't believe it took Ryan Seacrest and reality TV this long to find them.

I'm sure, just as they did with "Jersey Shore," the producers of "Shahs of Sunset" will choose the most eccentric, flashy and maddening group of Persians they can find and I'm sure they'll manage to piss off most of the Iranian community during the coarse of the season but it sure will be fun to watch and I'm setting my DVR now.
