She was part of the Golden Age of Hollywood and one of the greatest movie stars of all time. Miss Taylor died this morning of congestive heart failure, surrounded by her four children. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The two-time Oscar winner starred in dozens of movies, but also became an AIDS activist and fund raiser when her friend Rock Hudson died of the virus in 1985.
