Makes one 2-3 pound tri tip
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- Olive oil
- One 2-3 pound tri trip, trimmed of most of the fat
Steps
- Heat the grill to high
- Combine chili powder, cumin, oregano, garlic powder and salt
- Drizzle beef with olive oil, then sprinkle with mix and rub in well all over
- Place on the grill and cook until desired doneness, for medium rare approximately 10 minutes a side
- Remove from grill, cover with foil and let rest about 15 minutes before slicing
