BACKGROUND AND PRE-DSC
Grew up in Modesto, California. Boy Scouts, YMCA, High School and Junior College basketball player, Sports editor at HS and JC newspapers. Fresno State grad in Radio/TV, KFIG & KKDJ morning shows and copywriter/production director, Married, two sons, moved to Phoenix, KDKB, then San Diego for KGB morning shows. In 1987-88 did sports reports for Larry Himmel's San Diego At Large on Channel 8. From 1988 through 2007 provided syndicated comedy bits for The American Comedy Network.

GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT PROFESSIONALLY
Joined DSC in 1990.

GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT PERSONALLY
Aside from marriage & parenthood, two things: 1) picked a combination lock on a referee's locker by pure touch so we could get the only basketball at the gym for a game. 2) shot down a fly midair while standing over a toilet bowl without splashing the rim.

FAMILY BACKGROUND

Teacher parents: Father (deceased) Mom (still smarter than me - she would correct "smarter than I") brother (mountaineer extraordinaire), sister (deceased). As for me (I?): Great wife of 28 years, two fine sons.
